Our Story

It was totally unheard of before COVID-19 struck! An online church? Virtual Bible study? Preaching across the globe all at the same time? 

That was how POM (Patotoo Online Ministry) started and how it is engaging even now. The man behind it is Pastor Irwin B. Noriega who back on July 14, 2017, was trying to see how God wants him to fulfill the calling impressed on him. 

Irwin was truly a jack-of-all-trades (filmmaker, director, singer, dancer, actor, artist, businessman, marketer) but never in his wildest dreams had he thought of becoming a pastor. No one will believe him as his background was more in the secular world. The closest he got to serving God then was when he played drums for the Praise and Worship team in a local church in Angat Bulacan. The next chapter after that depicted him trying all sorts of things that he felt could make him happy and fulfilled. Indeed, all the success in the world could not fill up the void that he felt in his heart. The turning point was when he had an encounter with the Lord. The Lord called him to become a pastor and it brought him a gift of a long-awaited son. 

Having no guidance at all and not knowing how to fulfill that calling proved to be extremely challenging but with God's hand on him, Pastor Irwin soon found out that he would touch lives with online media. Mark 5:19 which says "Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how He has had mercy on you!" prompted him to aptly name the ministry he started as Patotoo Online Ministry or POM in short. Testifying about God's goodness and mercy is what this ministry is all about. It utilizes social media to preach the Gospel and share the life testimonies of ordinary people who experience the grace and wonders of an extraordinary God. 

To date, POM has reached 175 countries with its different online platforms via its website, Facebook, Youtube, and online radio. Thankfully, POM is not just online but has gone on mission trips which enable Pastor Irwin to see POM members and listeners and conduct face-to-face fellowships and meetings. United Kingdom, Philippines, Taiwan, Bahrain, Dubai, and Egypt have so far experienced these mission trips. But of course, the online meetups are running daily with Pastor Irwin devoting his time fully to the service of our Lord Jesus Christ through this ministry. 

Seven years and counting, the Lord has proven Himself faithful and good to Pastor Irwin and POM members. Online church, virtual Bible studies, global preaching. That's POM for you!
